"With reference to your letter No. 12848/191.
of the 15th Auril last, I now beg most repectfully to ask when the question of my superannuation will be finally
settled.
I beg to submit that the whole of my service from the 1th August 1883 to the 13th February 1914 was continuous, and was one service, and that I am eligible to the
pension, based on my average
awarded
a
salary for the last three years before
my
retirement. I humbly submit, that I was merely transferred from the G.P.O. London to the service of the HongKong
ment in accordance with the
government
letter No. 415638/1901 of 12th January 1902
from Mr. Chamberlain. This view was
